Submitting your manuscript to the journal is a straightforward process designed to ensure accuracy and completeness. Authors are required to follow the steps below carefully to avoid delays or automatic rejection. The process includes registration, uploading your files, providing detailed metadata, and confirming your submission.

 

  1. Visit the SLBMJ website and click the ‘Make a Submission’ tab.

  2. Carefully read the submission checklist and ensure that all points are fulfilled.

  3. If you are a first-time author submitting to SLBMJ, click ‘Register’. Existing users should click ‘Login’.

  4. On the registration page, enter all required information. After completing registration, a new page will open.

  5. Click ‘Make a New Submission’ to start your manuscript submission.

  6. The submission interface has five tabs: StartUpload SubmissionEnter MetadataConfirmation, and Next Steps. You will begin in the Start tab.

  7. Enter the Title of your manuscript and then select the appropriate category for your manuscript in the Section. Ensure all submission requirements are completed and tick the corresponding checkboxes. Note: If any requirement is unfulfilled but checked, the system will allow you to proceed, but the submission will be automatically declined. Click on Begin Submission

  8. Now fill in the following details:- Title: Enter the full title of your manuscript. Keywords: Mention 4 - 6 words that will indicate the main theme of the submission. Abstract: Copy/paste the abstract text. Enter all authors and corresponding details. Acknowledge the Copyright Statement, AI Usage Declaration, and Conflicts of Interest by ticking the checkboxes. Click Continue

  9. In the Upload Submission tab, a dialog box will appear. Upload all required files, including the article text, blind manuscript (without author names and details), authorship letter, author undertaking, and ERC/IRB approval letter. Click Save and Continue.

  10. List of Contributors: Click Add Contributor for each author. Enter all relevant details, including affiliation, and select the corresponding role (select Primary Author), which will indicate the principal contact for editorial correspondence. Click Save and Continue after completing all fields.
  11. In the Confirmation tab, click Finish Submission. Your manuscript has now been successfully submitted to SLBMJ.

  12. You can monitor the progress of your submission at any time by logging into your journal account.
